OIL CITY, Pa. — The Scenic Rivers YMCA has opened a farm estate near Oil City as a destination for weddings and events. The property spans 40 acres and includes fields and a restored barn. The barn accommodates up to 200 guests for ceremonies and receptions.
The venue offers a weekend access model, with rentals extending from Friday afternoon through Sunday. On-site lodging is provided through two buildings: a farmhouse that accommodates 10 people and a barn-dominium that accommodates two.
The property was formerly an Amish farm. The YMCA renovated the existing structures while maintaining the original layout of the site.
Revenue from the venue is allocated to the YMCA’s mission of serving local children. Specifically, the funds are invested in youth agricultural programming conducted throughout the summer.
Scenic Rivers Farm Venue Amenities
- Access: Use of the venue from Friday at 4 p.m. through Sunday at 12 p.m.
- Lodging: Includes the Farmhouse (sleeps 10) and the Barn-dominium (sleeps 2).
- Capacity: Red barn with space for 200 guests.
- Equipment: Round banquet tables and chairs for 200; additional 8-foot tables for service; 200 chairs for outdoor ceremonies.
- Facilities: Designated suites for the wedding party.
- Parking: On-site parking for guests.
- Vendor Policy: Outside vendors permitted for catering, bartending, and decor.
