YMCA SUMMER DAY CAMP

YMCA Summer Camp is where adventure, fun, and personal growth intersect. Our camp offers an exciting array of activities that ignite imagination and promote character development.
From outdoor adventures to arts and crafts, sports, and team-building, children build friendships and confidence in a safe, supportive environment. Join us for a summer of discovery and growth!
YMCA Summer Day Camp is for children ages 6-12. Camp is offered through the Clarion County & Oil City YMCAs.
Your child will make friends, explore nature, and create lifelong memories all under the guidance of awesome camp counselors who care about them and believe in their potential.
- Summer Day Camp is held weekly throughout the summer 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Camp Coffman
- Extended care is included, beginning at 6:00 am and ending at 6:00 pm, at the Oil City YMCA and the Clarion County YMCA.
- Bus transportation is provided from the YMCA.
Financial Aid and CCIS are available. Please apply in advance. Registration for each week is due by the THURSDAY before the camp week begins.

2026 Summer Day Camp Theme Weeks
Week 1: June 1-5 CLASSIC CAMP
Help us say “Hello to Summer,” with a fun-filled week of classic camp activities like fishing, boating, and arts and crafts. Meet your counselors, make new summer friends, and have a blast while learning what camp is all about.

Week 2: June 8-12 DISNEY DAYS
“Oh Boy!” It’s going to be a fun week! Pals, join us for our first-ever Disney week. With Mickey-shaped treats, Disney-inspired activities, and your favorite sing-a-longs, campers will get to learn more about the magic and characters we see in all of our favorite Disney movies.
FIELD TRIP: Olympic Fun Center on Friday, June 12
Week 3: June 15-19 PA ADVENTURES
Join us on our PA Adventures, where campers will get to showcase and learn about different Pennsylvania-founded businesses and historical events. Have fun with friends while sampling Pennsylvania-made treats like Hershey’s candies and exploring Crayola Crayons.

Week 4: June 22 – 26 JURASSIC JUNGLE
Help us take a big T-Rex bite out of summer with our NEW Jurassic Jungle week. Learn about our favorite types of dinosaurs, what they eat, and just how big they really were. Run like a dinosaur and jump into a Jurassic dance party! All kids will learn something new and exciting about dinosaurs! We hope you roar!

Week 5: June 29 – July 3 HOLIDAY HOOPLA
Celebrate a new holiday all week long! Enjoy ornament making for Christmas, a costume contest for Halloween, and send out Valentine’s Day cards for kindness. We’re not confused, we are excited for all the holidays. You will not want to miss the fun of the holidays!

Week 6: July 6-10 SHARK WEEK
Based on the extremely popular Discovery Channel special! Learn all about the different types of sharks at our very own shark academy while enjoying shark-themed games and treats. Join us and take a bite out of the big ocean!
FIELD TRIP: Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium
Week 7: July 13-17 TAKING CENTER STAGE
Whether you have an interest in acting, singing, or dancing, this week will be more fun than you ever imagined. Center Stage week will give kids the chance to explore creativity. Campers will get creative this week and perform live for other campers. Future Oscar winners are sure to enjoy themselves.

Week 8: July 20 – 24 SUPER HERO ACADEMY
Transform into a superhero for a week! Campers will get to create their own superhero identities, design costumes, and engage in themed activities such as obstacle courses, team challenges, and heroic missions.

Week 9: July 27 – 31 WIZZARDING WORLD
Escape to a world of magic and mythical creatures and let your imagination run wild. Kids will mix potions and battle fire-breathing dragons in a quest to save camp. Campers will be able to take part in wand-making and challenges like finding the Sorcerer’s Stone, transforming regular camp activities into enchanting adventures.

Week 10: August 3-7 FANATIC FARMING
Our young farmers will focus on hands-on agriculture, learning about sustainable food, animal care, and gardening. Kids will prepare delicious snacks in a farm-to-table lessons. All kids will visit the stables for lessons in horsemanship, horseback riding, and care. Kids will enjoy hayrides and fun on the farm.

Week 11: August 10-14 CAMP CHEF
Our young chefs will learn how to prepare and cook kid-friendly foods this week, concentrating on learning why the body needs food nutrition to keep active and healthy. Creativity in the kitchen may inspire kids to share their new skills at home, expand their taste buds, and eat healthier! Kids will experience a blend of education, nutrition, and fun with easy recipes. They will practice age-appropriate cooking techniques, fundamental kitchen skills, and kitchen safety. Vegetables from our own garden will be showcased!

Week 12: August 17-21 LOST IN SPACE
Join us for an intergalactic journey with space! Campers will be able to create a mission control center and design spacecrafts, create out-of-this-world crafts, and let their imaginations run wild. Kids will participate in interactive science experiments and launch their imaginations into outer space with STEAM activities.
FIELD TRIP: Kamin Science Center (Formerly Carnegie Science Center) on Friday, August 21
Week 13: August 24-28 WILD, WILD WEST
Bring the Old Frontier to life with cowboys, pioneers, and line dancing. Kids will get hands-on experience with archery, and end summer camp with a big bang and an air rifle shoot out. Kids will visit the “Trading Post” and buy “supplies” in return for their good deeds at camp! Put on your boots and get ready for the end of summer hoedown! This is a great week to explore!
WEEKLY CAMP ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: zip line, field trips, music and movement, guest speakers, sports, archery, air gun, fishing, canoeing, paddle boating, arts and crafts, hiking, trips to YMCA Farm Camp, games and adventures.



YMCA FARM CAMP EXPERIENCE
Farm Camp is a completely hands-on and interactive farming and agricultural experience brought to you by the Scenic Rivers YMCA. Children who attend YMCA Summer Day Camp will discover and learn all about animals on the farm, gardening, harvesting, and sustainable living, all while having fun with friends. Farm Camp is just 3 miles from Camp Coffman in Fertigs, PA.
For those who attend YMCA Summer Day Camp, trips to the farm will occur Monday through Wednesday each week.

INFORMATION FOR PARENTS:
- Day Camp hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with extended care available beginning at 6:00 am and ending at 6:00 pm.
- Extended Care and Transportation are included in the Day Camp Weekly Fee.
- Campers receive a healthy lunch and snack each day.
- Children may attend one or more weeks.
